17 February 2024. The North London Waste Authority have launched a Bring it, Barnet! campaign to encourage people to use their own water bottles, bags, food containers and cups to be refilled in shops, cafés etc in order to reduce the use of single-use plastic. Barnet council has declared a climate emrgency following the election in which the Labour Party won a majority of the seats.
Our next meeting is on Tuesday 31 May 2022 at 7pm online, when we will discuss what Barnet should be prioritising in terms of energy and climate. Ahead of Barnet Climate Action Group’s forthcoming workshop (Sunday 16 May), this month’s BCAG meeting will be a planning event for the workshop, asking attendees for their thoughts on the key issues for the borough that need to be examined to input into a future Barnet Climate Plan.
